How a commission works.
Sitting, two fittings, collection.
The first sitting. We take your measure, talk about where the garment will be worn, and you choose the cloth by hand.
The basted fitting. The garment is tacked together and tried on you, so we can correct what the tape cannot show.
The second fitting. Close to the finish, for the fine points: the break of the trouser, the button stance, the cuff.
Collection. A last try-on at the atelier, or insured delivery if you cannot come in. Four to five weeks: one sitting, then two fittings. Repeat orders start from the pattern we already hold, so they usually need fewer fittings.

How does a commission begin?
With an appointment at the atelier. We talk about what the garment is for, look at cloth together and take your measure, in one sitting.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We work by appointment so the fitting room is yours. Book a fitting here or write to us on WhatsApp; we reply the same day.
What do you make?
Suits, tuxedos, jackets, trousers, shirts, bandhgalas, sherwanis, jodhpuris and bandis, and suits for women. Each is cut to a pattern of your own.
How long does a commission take?
Suits, tuxedos, jackets and bandhgalas: four to five weeks: one sitting, then two fittings. Trousers take about three weeks, shirts about two weeks, and a sherwani ten to twelve weeks. For a wedding, begin twelve weeks before the first function. How long a bespoke suit takes →
How many fittings will I need?
One sitting for the measure and cloth, then two fittings: the basted fitting and a second fitting before the finish.
I need something urgently. Is that possible?
We take a small number of urgent orders when the workshop has room. Write with your date and we will tell you the same day whether we can.
What does a commission cost?
A two-piece suit starts at ₹35,000 in our house cloth and ₹50,000 in cloth from the named mills. The cloth sets the price; the final figure is confirmed at the atelier once you choose the cloth. See every mill and price →
What cloth do you carry?
Loro Piana, Zegna, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Drago, Reda and Vitale Barberis Canonico for suits; Thomas Mason and Tessitura Monti for shirts; and our own house worsteds. The cloth →
Can I bring my own cloth?
Yes. Bring the length to the atelier and we will tell you whether it is enough and whether it will make up well. Making only, in your own cloth: shirt ₹1,500 · trousers ₹2,500. Other garments in your cloth are priced at the atelier.
Will I be measured every time?
No. We take your measure once and draft your pattern from it. We keep the pattern on file; if your measurements change, we correct it at a fitting.
Do repeat orders need fittings?
Repeat orders start from the pattern we already hold, so they usually need fewer fittings.
What about care and alterations afterwards?
We press, adjust and repair the garments we make. When we take your measure, a piece that does not fit as agreed is altered or remade at our cost within thirty days of delivery.

Do you ship outside Mumbai?

I do not live in Mumbai. Can we still work together?
Yes. The first sitting needs you at the atelier. After that, the fittings can be arranged around a single trip. Repeat orders start from the pattern we already hold, so they usually need fewer fittings.
